Serving 1,000 Residents in Puerto Rico

Zachary Brooks-Miller

Over a year after Hurricane Maria made landfall, Team Rubicon continues to invest in Puerto Rico’s Recovery. This week we reached another set of important milestones with 350 roofs replaced and over 1,000 people assisted.

While these figures illustrate the hard work and dedication of our team, led by Hilda Vlachopoulou, our case management partner Society of Saint Vincent De Paul and our Construction Contractors, Torres-Rosa Engineers, Servicemen’s General Contracting, and All In One Construction over the past 12 months, the true story lies in the lives of those we have assisted.

With the recent Hurricanes in North Carolina and Florida drawing national headlines, and as the devastation of Maria fades, Team Rubicon remains committed to assisting those in need. In addition to roofs, Team Rubicon will begin piloting the complete construction of three resilient houses with our contracting partners. In doing so we seek to assist those who have lost everything.

Team Rubicon would like to thank the Tennessee Community Foundation and the Steve and Alexandra Cohen Foundation for their generous donations in assisting those in the greatest need in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
