As organizational cultures go, TR’s is pretty unique. For that reason our CEO, Jake Wood, and other leaders, often get asked to speak on leadership, culture and team-building. We get invited to take a lot of surveys, measuring what’s special about TR. We ask our employees to spend a lot of time assessing and reflecting upon the good, the bad, and the ugly. We are always seeking to improve.
So we were honored this winter to be invited to participate in Inc. Magazine’s third annual Best Workplaces survey. We approached it with curiosity. We wanted to see how Team Rubicon stacked up with other world-class organizations, on a scale and magnitude that we’ve never really measured before. We asked our team to take an honest inventory of their experiences at TR, via a wide range of research-validated workplace factors that impact their employee engagement and satisfaction.
The results? TR is a workplace where employees willingly go above and beyond in their work, advocate for the organization, and intend to stay long into the future. Our engagement is extremely high. Employees see opportunities for career development at Team Rubicon. The top word used to describe our work at TR? “Challenging.”
As a direct result of the culture of Trust and Respect that Team Rubicon has honed for the past eight years, today we are proud to announce that TR is being recognized on a global stage, as one of Inc. Magazine’s Best Workplaces in 2018.
Competition was fierce. Thousands of organizations completed the survey and showcased their workplace excellence. Fewer than 300 were selected for this illustrious award, demonstrating the great lengths Team Rubicon goes to attract, develop, and retain its incredible staff.
This award is a testament to the extraordinary humans who show up and Get Shit Done every day at Team Rubicon, with passion, grit and enthusiasm; who take up the battle cry and endure whatever “Challenging” obstacles lie between us and the people who most need our help; who day after day continue to create and perpetuate this unique culture of Trust and Respect. It’s proof of the value of an organization, a Team, that truly puts Service above Self.
Our heartfelt thanks and congratulations goes out to all Team Rubicon staff, Greyshirts, and supporters today. This one’s for you.
