In Honor of Veterans Day, Team Rubicon takes a look at how veterans from the U.S. Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Merchant Marine, and Space Force are returning to service—and taking on disaster relief.
20% of all US Greyshirts are Army Veterans
Perhaps it’s because the U.S. Army is the nation’s largest branch of service, but more Team Rubicon volunteers served in the Army—more than 20% of all U.S. Greyshirts—than any other branch of service.
Nearly 11% of US Greyshirts are Marines
Maybe it’s because Team Rubicon was cofounded by U.S. Marine Corps veteran Jake Wood, but more than 10.9% of Greyshirts served in the Marine Corps.
More than 10% of Greyshirts are Navy Veterans
Squeaking in just behind the Marines, more than 10% of Greyshirts served in the Navy.
9% of Greyshirts Served in the Airforce
Airforce veterans make up just more than 9% of all U.S. Greyshirts—included among their ranks is former TOPGUN instructor and Team Rubicon CEO, Art delaCruz.
Thousands of Coast Guard Veterans
More than 1% of U.S. Greyshirts are Semper Paratus, or Always Ready. In this case, the thousands of Coast Guard veterans who serve in TR’s volunteer ranks are always ready to serve disaster survivors.
U.S. Space Force Veterans Represent
Don’t count the Space Force out: While less than 1% of all U.S. Greyshirts served in the U.S.’s newest military branch, those dozens of Space Force veterans have served disaster survivors everywhere from the Navajo Nation during the COVID pandemic to Florida after Hurricane Milton.
Reservists Return to Service
All told, nearly 6.5% of U.S. Greyshirts served in the US Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, and Space Force Reserves.
6.5% of Greyshirts Served in the National Guard
Both the Air National Guard and the Army National Guard are also well represented within Team Rubicon’s volunteer ranks, with more than 6.5% of all Greyshirts having served in the National Guard.
