Three Paths to Impact.
People and communities need support year-round. So for us, there’s no start or end to our service: we implement mitigation efforts before disasters and provide immediate response plus long-term rebuild and recovery support after.
-
Our team gets on the ground quickly to support—mucking houses, clearing roadways, removing debris, and more, as the situation calls for it.
-
We don’t leave when the storm passes. We build resilient homes and repair roofs and other damaged structures for displaced residents.
-
Working with international agencies, we respond to global disasters and conflicts, providing WASH services and medical assistance with EMT Type 1 Mobile where it’s needed most.
Disasters Big or Small, We’re Here to Serve.
Team Rubicon deploys where help is needed, whether it’s a single flooded ranch across town or a wildfire-stricken village 10,000 miles away. While the media focuses on the most sensational stories, we turn our attention to our most vulnerable neighbors and our greatest opportunities to rebuild and reinforce communities.
We respond to calls for help in all 50 states, from major state-wide emergencies to small, low-attention disasters.
We offer support to communities abroad before and after disasters, international conflict, and humanitarian crises.
Humanitarian Principles, Embodied.
When we put our grey shirts on, we leave our biases at the door. As a humanitarian organization, we fully commit ourselves to these values.
-
Humanity
We address human suffering wherever it is found. Humanitarians protect life and health and act with respect for all human beings.
-
Impartiality
We act on need alone. Our service does not discriminate on the basis of nationality, race, gender, religious belief, class, or political opinions.
-
Neutrality
We do not take sides in conflicts. Humanitarians do not participate in controversies of a political, racial, religious, or ideological nature.
-
Independence
Our service is independent of any governmental objectives and offered free of political, economic, military, or other influence.
