Winter Storm Nika ripped through Southeastern Pennsylvania early this morning, dumping all sorts of freezing rain and knocking down power lines and trees in its path. Damage assessments are currently underway in Chester County, and Region 3 is launching Operation: Valley Forge to assist with debris removal.

We’ll be standing up a chainsaw-savvy team of TR members within 75 miles of Downington, Penn. who’ll be prepared to withstand the cold for multiple hours on end. The operation continues to evolve but is expected to run several days.

Region 3 volunteers in the area who are able to assist in the coming days should fill out this Google Form and ensure their profiles are updated through OrgAction. As always, do not self deploy.
