Standing Down Hurricane Patricia Response

Over the last 24 hours, Hurricane (now Tropical Storm) Patricia made landfall and significantly dropped in strength while doubling its ground speed. The result was a significantly lessened impact on the projected affected area. Current impact reports indicate significant flooding and wind damage around the coastal areas of Jalisco and Colima. However, no casualties or requests for international assistance have been reported at this time. The state and federal governments have initiated a major debris management and recovery operation while monitoring potential ancillary effects.  Concern has been raised regarding the hurricane’s remnants, which are presently headed to already inundated areas of Texas.

We have stood down all immediate response efforts for Hurricane Patricia but will continue monitoring the effects and stand ready to assist as needed.

We will be refunding all donations for the Hurricane Patricia response.
