Operation: Sandman Wraps Up

Mike Lee, a native of Chicago, graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a degree in Creative Writing. At LMU, Mike developed international and domestic volunteer trips and served as the Volunteer Coordinator for the Student Veterans Organization. Mike’s professional background is in advertising and marketing, and has experience in executing large print and digital campaigns for non-profit and tourism clients. He lives in Los Angeles where he thinks a lot about dogs, bourbon, and the Chicago Bears.

Operation: Sandman is a wrap.

Region 5’s team, headed by TL Amanda Ross, has assisted the city of Janesville, WI prepare for potential flooding by assisting homeowners and the city set sandbag lines.

Today, the team focused on placing sandbags along the waterfront at Fireman’s park. Approximately 70 feet of sandbags were placed to ensure the safety of downtown Janesville and 9/11 memorial in the park.

As of 4:30pm Central Time, Operation: Sandman was concluded. TR will continue to monitor the weather and will respond if needed.
