HQ is establishing a formal agreement with the Filipino government to help the field teams secure reliable transport, security, and the ability to bring medical supplies into the country unheeded. Without this agreement, it’s a difficult and lengthy process to bring supplies through customs. Additionally, by securing transport for the team, TR will not be limited by travel logistics and will be able to grow our response as dictated by the situation on the ground.

The field team is also building a FOB (forward operating base) in Tacloban to secure supplies. In coordination with the USMC and the Filipino Air Force, the team will then conduct search and rescue and medical triage in the communities surrounding Tanauan.

The scope of our operations is continuing to evolve. If you have relevant medical experience, you can register your availability for Operation: Seabird here.
