While most Americans are celebrating a three-day weekend with some R&R, 16 members of Team Rubicon were sweating through their deployment grays to assist West Virginians affected by recent flooding. The crew knocked out 33 work orders in two days alongside partnering agencies in Mingo County.

Air Force veteran and emergency management pro Diane Mack chose to celebrate her birthday on Aug. 31 by mucking out and repairing homes in Mingo County, WV.

After assessing nearly 100 properties, three strike teams tackled gutting out basements, some light demo work, and tarping roofs as needed. Volunteers deployed on Operation: Mingo Hollers return home today.
