VOLUNTEER TO SERVE YOUR COMMUNITY

The coronavirus outbreak has created unprecedented challenges, but action is the only option. Join the military veterans, first responders, and motivated civilians answering the call to serve in the wake of natural disasters and emergencies.

DISASTER RELIEF

Team Rubicon was founded in the wake of the 2010 earthquake in Haiti. Over the last decade, the organization has responded to more than 500 natural disasters, including a recent tornado outbreak that ripped across the South.

FOOD ASSISTANCE

Team Rubicon has launched more than 115 operations in nearly 100 cities in response to COVID-19. Many of these operations ensure our most vulnerable community members have access to food. Join the volunteers packaging and delivering meals to their neighbors.

EMERGENCY MEDICAL CARE

Medical professionals are volunteering on our emergency medical team to provide care in communities with little to no access to health care, such as the Navajo Nation where Team Rubicon has seen more than 770 patients affected by COVID-19.

"There’s a famous quote by Fred Rogers - When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, ‘Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.’

When I was a kid, I would watch the news when bad things happened, but I didn’t want to look for the helpers. I wanted to be the helpers. It’s the driving force behind my career as a nurse and it’s a big part of the reason I joined Team Rubicon."

"When I showed up, I expected nothing in return – I just wanted to serve others. But Team Rubicon leaders inspired me to be a better version of myself and continue to shape my values and character.

I will remember that feel-good moment when we finished helping a homeowner clean out the home they thought was unrecoverable. I may have showed up for this experience, but in truth, Team Rubicon showed up for me."

"I got involved with Team Rubicon after almost 26 years in the U.S. Air Force. The way I look at it is the American taxpayers already paid me. They paid for my training, for me to develop these skills and knowledge.

Now I’m repaying that debt to the taxpayers for my almost 26 years of active duty by helping in times of need. It’s an honor for me to serve my fellow citizens once again as a member of Team Rubicon."
