It Takes a Village and Then Some

Hurricane Florence made landfall on September 14 in Wilmington, North Carolina. Since then, Team Rubicon (TR) has spun up three operations in Wilmington, New Bern, and Goldsboro, NC. TR is currently monitoring the state of Fayetteville, Jacksonville, and Lumberton, North Carolina in addition to multiple counties in South Carolina. Volunteers have been providing disaster relief in the form of damage assessments, muck outs, debris removal, and sawyer services. Team Rubicon’s efforts would not be possible without our valuable partners who have answered the call to support our mission.

Team Rubicon’s Forward Operating Base is stationed at a Home Depot parking lot in Wilmington, NC following Hurricane Florence.

Team Rubicon would like to thank The Home Depot Foundation for providing space for our Forward Operating Base in Wilmington, NC and for consistently contributing to Team Rubicon’s Ready Reserve. Our Ready Reserve Fund is fueled by our proactive partners so Team Rubicon can train, engage, and rapidly deploy volunteers whenever disaster strikes. Team Rubicon thanks FedEx for their valuable contribution of shipping credit, ensuring we are able to send supplies to our leaders and volunteers and for being a consistent and generous partner. We are also grateful for our committed partners, Southwest Airlines and Air Link, currently moving our personnel around the country.

Our gratitude doesn’t stop here. Check out the ever-growing list of partners who have donated to support Team Rubicon’s Hurricane Florence response.
