Our daily update on the coronavirus, and how Team Rubicon will be assisting communities and people in need
Team Rubicon is continuing to track the spread of novel coronavirus COVID-19 across the globe and has begun activating throughout the country to address community needs.
International: COVID-19 is now in 160 countries, with approximately 204,000 cases across the globe. The daily increase rate is roughly 16,000. The death rate is estimated at 8,200; the recovery rate is roughly 82,000.
United States: COVID-19 has now been reported in all 50 states, with an estimated 7,038 cases across the U.S., including presumptive positives. This morning, the Canada border was closed to U.S. citizens. In California, six Bay Area counties, Sonoma County, and Santa Cruz County have shelter-in-place orders. In New York, New Jersey, Seattle and many other places across the U.S. bars, restaurants, and clubs have shut down, while retailers are limiting hours.
How Team Rubicon is Responding to COVID-19
Team Rubicon is assisting with emergency humanitarian support and emergency services alongside local, state, and federal partners. We have begun operations to aid with the delivery of food, water, and shelter, support quarantined cruise ship passengers in the Southwest, and assist with food preparation kits and food deliveries from Westchester County, NY to Appleton, WI.
Team Rubicon’s New and Forthcoming COVID-19 Relief Operations
Westchester County, NY
In conjunction with Feeding Westchester, Team Rubicon will help distribute food within the community.
In conjunction with The Salvation Army, Team Rubicon will help distribute food to people in need.
On behalf of the Department of Health and Human Services, Team Rubicon will help transport passengers of the Grand Princess Cruise who have completed their mandatory 14-day quarantine at Dobbins ARB to their homes and will also offer planning and logistics support.
In conjunction with Feeding America, Team Rubicon will be sorting, packing, and transporting food to people in need in surrounding areas.
Team Rubicon will begin handing out food at 20 different public school sites across Milwaukee and, in conjunction with Feeding America, will help with sorting, packing, and transporting food to surrounding areas in need.

Team Rubicon will provide logistical support for a drive-through COVID-19 test site, and will support and help man a call center at the Health Department.
San Antonio, TX
The Department of Health and Human Services has requested Team Rubicon escort passengers of the Grand Princess Cruise who have completed their mandatory 14-day quarantine at Lackland AFB to their homes.
San Diego, CA
The Department of Health and Human Services has requested Team Rubicon to assist with database management and logistics support at MCAS Miramar for the 21 passengers and crew members of a cruise ship who tested positive for COVID-19 and are based at Miramar under quarantine.
