TR deploying advance team to Joplin, MO to assess possible response
Ford Sypher, a veteran of TR’s Operation Roll Tide in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, is leading a small recon team to Joplin, MO on Monday morning. Sypher, an Anthropology student at neighboring University of Kansas, will assess a TR response following the Sunday evening multi-vortex tornado strikes.
Should TR activate its midwest team, it will primarily assist with debris clearing and implementing military style order into the affected areas. There is no medical mandate for a domestic mission.
Sypher is a former Team Leader as well as EMT-I in 3/75 Ranger Regiment. While in the U.S. Army he served three deployments in Iraq and two in Afghanistan. Along with Sypher is fellow Army Ranger Ian Johnson. Johnson is a former Team Leader in 3/75th Ranger Regiment with two deployments to Iraq and two in Afghanistan.
In St. Louis, provide POC number and I can be in Joplin in less than 4 hrs. (314)249-8641
