“Our kids named him Rubicon…”

One year after our response in Moore, OK, our team received this uplifting note from resident Amber Love-Harris.

Today, I sit here in my new home full of heartache and tears but also thinking of the people who’ve impacted our family’s lives and made a difference on that horrible day. What comes to mind is Team Rubicon – your men and women made a huge connection with my family while here last year.

You impacted my children so much. We’ve been home for four weeks now, and we told our kids when we get a fence, we’ll get a puppy. Well, we got a fence, and since we had to get rid of our dog and pot belly pig after the tornado since we had nowhere to go but a hotel, we gave in and got them what we promised. Our kids named him Rubicon, so we will never forget what you did for us in our time of need. We love every single one of you and you will always have a place in our hearts. Thank you for all you do.

Love, the Harris family on 7th St. in Moore, OK
