Mike Lee

Mike Lee, a native of Chicago, graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a degree in Creative Writing. At LMU, Mike developed international and domestic volunteer trips and served as the Volunteer Coordinator for the Student Veterans Organization. Mike’s professional background is in advertising and marketing, and has experience in executing large print and digital campaigns for non-profit and tourism clients. He lives in Los Angeles where he thinks a lot about dogs, bourbon, and the Chicago Bears.

Following an outbreak of flash floods and mudslides, Region 8 deployed volunteers to Manitou Springs to provide flood recovery operations.

08-21-2013 – Over the weekend of August 18th, Regions 7 and 8 ran two flood recovery operations in Waynesville, MO and Manitou Springs, CO respectively. Operation: Lost Woods in Missouri saw 16 volunteers from the area assist in the operation, logging over 672 volunteer hours. Over the course of the mission, TR received quite a bit of help. Over 25 active duty soldiers from nearby Fort Leonard Wood and over 300 members of the community volunteered in the initial recovery efforts. ... Read More »
