Call for veteran volunteers, equipment, and donations for Dora, Alabama
Team Rubicon’s Howard “Ford” Sypher has linked up with the Dora, Alabama civil authority (i.e. the mayor, local fire and police) to provide much needed assistance to this rural town. Dora is a small community outside Birmingham that was affected by the tornadoes, but had yet to receive aid until TR arrived. The town of Dora gave Team Rubicon the local fire department as a base of operations and freedom of maneuver. The team currently consists of four TR volunteers, but we need more help. Team Leader Matt Pelak is on his way home to New York and Howard Sypher, U.S Army veteran, is taking over the job. Right now he is meeting with the mayor of Bora to assess how TR will facilitate clean up and recovery. When he returns, TR will take full stock of our equipment and potential needs, we will prioritize what areas we will begin assisting, with clear and concise listing of out prioritized targets.

To quote a local resident upon out arrival, “we have been waiting for you.” As of two days ago people were sleeping on mattresses outside their houses–aid has yet to trickle down. Team Rubicon will have a very commanding presence in Bora, but we can’t sustain this mission without you. Please donate $10 to help our neighbors in Bora, Alabama.

Have you contacted the Caterpillar dealership in Birmingham to see if they can provide what you need? (though I assume you have already thought of this, thought I would mention it!) I googled it……and the name is Thompson Caterpillar. Good luck!
