Attention Carpenters
Ray Arana, a Team Rubicon supporter from the get go, has established his own grassroots construction effort- “Relief Team One” (www.reliefteamone.org). He has sent me an email, requesting volunteers for the following reconstruction mission, which is aimed at helping Jesuit Refugee Camps.
BE ADVISED, THIS IS NOT A TEAM RUBICON OPERATIONS
…got a call last night from a Jesuit run Relief Camp in Haiti. they were asking us to help them build shelters, school, clinic, sanatary systems and a well. Their people are living under tarps with barely enough food.
I’m reaching out to everyone on this…need 4 carpenters and 4 laborers, conditions will be interesting, we have to be individually self contained…meaning..buy your own plane ticket. (I will try to get part of this donated) cash for your pocket .bring a tent, sleeping bag, ground tarp, freeze dried food, pot to boil water, rain gear and change of clothes, soap, and towel. and everything else that you need to keep going.I will arrange for shots from the MD that donated my shots…we will talk to FED X about donating the shipping of supplies to Port au Prince.
Everyone on the team needs to bring their own framing tools.
I want to take a load of additional supplies with us. This list will come from the group already workiing in the Refugee Camp.
Target departure March 15. duration as long as you can stay.
