Attention Carpenters

Ray Arana, a Team Rubicon supporter from the get go, has established his own grassroots construction effort- “Relief Team One” (www.reliefteamone.org).  He has sent me an email, requesting volunteers for the following reconstruction mission, which is aimed at helping Jesuit Refugee Camps.

BE ADVISED, THIS IS NOT A TEAM RUBICON OPERATIONS

…got a call last night from a Jesuit run Relief Camp in Haiti.  they were asking us to help them build shelters, school, clinic, sanatary systems and a well.  Their people are living under tarps with barely enough food.

I’m reaching out to everyone on this…need 4 carpenters and 4 laborers, conditions will be interesting, we have to be individually self contained…meaning..buy your own plane ticket. (I will try to get part of this donated) cash for your pocket .bring a tent, sleeping bag, ground tarp, freeze dried food, pot to boil water, rain gear and change of clothes, soap, and towel. and everything else that you need to keep going.

I will arrange for shots from the MD that donated my shots…we will talk to FED X about donating the shipping of supplies to Port au Prince.

Everyone on the team needs to bring their own framing tools.

I want to take a load of additional supplies with us.  This list will come from the group already workiing in the Refugee Camp.

Target departure  March 15.  duration as long as you can stay.
